Day three - Mary Planetarium

Hello Everybody this is Mary again. Several things happened today. First we slept in. Adam of course would probably say it was my fault but he slept in too. So I say WE slept in.

First things first. We went to the Planetarium. I don't have ANY planetarium pictures. I have no idea why, but Adam took enough for the both of us.

After the planetarium we figured out we didn't have time to do anything else on "museum campus" because of our late start.

Lunch

I would add pictures from lunch...but...somehow the were added in the midst of the pictures of the feet in the park that I write about in the next entry....so, for picture...look at the next entry. lol

But...anyways....

I took us forever to get around yesterday…we didn’t leave the hotel till lunch time….so, this is where we ate lunch. It is the Original Uno Pizzeria….it was good

Feet...

After lunch, we went and to a museum, but, this was on the way…it was crazy….I looked around a while and I still cant tell you what it is actually about… just feet. Lots of feet.

The Planetarium

Here is the planetarium. It was pretty good, though the walk was a bit rainy. Honestly, it was very similar to the one in Oklahoma City….not sure if that is complementing OKC or insulting Chicago…so, I will let you all decide. Lol

Wrigley

Next Stop…Wrigley Field!!! This is the main place that Mary wanted to go, so there was of course no skipping it….never. Lol

At the IO Comedy Club

After taking picture of the Wrigley sign, we went walking in search of food and came across this comedy club. The doors didn’t open till later, so we had time to eat. When we got back, we saw a really good improv act. It was two different groups. One was live and the other was puppets, but, both were basically doing the same kind o stuff…was doin skits based on audience suggestion.

This is a lady that sat right in front of us in which happens to live in hell..umm..I mean Tulsa as well. lol

Here's the subway stop on the way home...this is the one right outside wrigley

This picture was supposed to show how dirty the subway is...but....it actually makes it look far cleaner than it actually is in real life...

The begining of day two

Hello everyone, I haven’t read what Mary has said about me in her entry, but, I just want to say that only the good stuff about me is true….as to the rest of it, she is full of it and has no idea what she is talking about. Lol

I want to start by saying that my pictures are all in black and white on purpose. I really like black and white picture and prefer them over a color picture any day….so; Mary’s pictures will be easy to spot as they will be in color. (And blurry…shhh…I didn’t say that) –smile-

This morning…Mary decided to not get up and I was tired of sitting around…so I went to…STARBUCKS. I happen to be a huge starbucks person and decided that I would go any chance I could. This morning was one of those chances….it is a short three minute walk from the hotel.

Lunch....day two

For lunch we stopped at this place at the Navy Pier and ate a hamburger at this place where the folks the word cheeseburger…however, they did a good job of cookin one….quite tasty…and the people that ran the place had a very interesting accent…this guy looked kinda cool, so I decided to be creepy and take his picture. –smile-
While at the pier we went to two stained glass museums…they were very cool. It was interpreting to see the different styles right next to each other as well as how technology has changed it over the years….they can be incredibly detailed now.

These pictures are from those two museums…I didn’t take the time to divide up which came from where…so…live with it. Lol

Jesus reading scripture...

I like this idea...it means he views me as an equal with all other for all time...well...plus lots of other things...but things is what I think of...respectable bit of information if I do say so myself. lol

Perhaps she is waiting on someone?

Just chillin

Sup yall?

This is relating to a scripture...but..I cant for the life of me remember it...if anyone that reads this non-sense knows it, please let me know

Some cool jewish stuff. I like it

The next few pictures are from a place call “Crystal Garden” It was very cool. The video is of the fountain. It would shoot water out of one planter and into another one…you could walk underneath the streams of water….very cool.

Hancock Tower

Next we went to the Hancock Tower…it is the largest multi-use building in the world. It has a little bit of everything. There are shops and all kinda of stuff in there…we went to the observatory which is located on the 96th floor. WAY THE HELL UP IN THE AIR. Haha…..let me just say, I have never considered myself “scared of heights” but I could only come so close to those windows before my feet were like ‘nope, that’s it. Look from there because you ain’t going any closer than that. Too bad’ It was really high. Fascinating…but…high

In this picture, you can see our hotel. It’s the yellow “X” there is also a small red dot. That is magnificent mile….that has most of their fancy shopping stuff. Kinds close to there is a light blue dot. That is the Chicago Tribune Building. It has a lot of feature to it and when they were building, they went to famous building that had been torn down around the world and found pieces and incorporated them into the building…it’s very elaborate. There is also a light purple dot at “museum campus” We are going there tmrw to look at some of the museums and we are going back on Thursday to look at even more of those museums….look for those pictures later.

The hancock Observatory

The Hancock Center from the ground. There are 96 floors of this building, The Hancock Observatory is on the 94th floor. It was awsome.
I'm not exactly sure what this is, but I thought it was neat, so I took a picture of it. From the 94th floor.

This building is HUGE, but not as tall as the Hancock Center. Part of the Chicago skyline, from the 94th floor of the Hancock Center.

This tunnel is how you get from one side of the highway that runs between Navy Pier and everything else. It goes right under the highway. You dont see this in Tulsa.
