Marys trip to the "City"!
I got off work at three, but Adam didn't get off work until 6. So I hung around Tulsa for a bit... Shanell straightened my hair and I ended up leaving Tulsa (well really Sandsprings) at 5. So needless to say, I didn't make it to the City before Adam got off work. I made pretty good time though.
Anyway, I met Adam at his work, and we took his car to Bricktown (which for those of you not familiar with this place, its a whole lot of restraunts, stores and even some weird man made waterway. Its pretty cool), and we walked around.
Mexican food restraunt
Thats what I'm calling it, as I have no idea what the name of it is. We origionally put down our name for Zios and then went to check out the mexican food restraunt, and there was no wait there, so we ditched Zios and went to the Mexican food restraunt. Anyway, our waitor was a bit pushy, but its probably because there was so many people there he was probably running on adrenaline alone. So I wasn't too worried about it. I got what I always get in new Mexican food restraunts and that is a Chimichanga. Those are pretty hard to mess up. Adam got Fajitas. We were talking and observing people, and wait staff. It was interesting. If you are ever around Adam and I when we're observing people, you're in for quite a treat. We say what we think these peoples story is. And sometimes its real elaborate, and sometimes its not. The more the people, the more interesting it gets. So after dinner, we pay and take off.
Snow tubing at the baseball park
No, before you ask, we did not snow tube. But Adam heard about this huge snow mound that people could tube down in the middle of the baseball park in Bricktown. So we went to check it out. Well it was $10 for an hour and a half, as much tubing as you could handle for that much time. What it really was, was slides covered in snow or ice or something. Well Adam and I watched this for quite some time. We talked about some of the things people were wearing on that freezing cold day. There were some guys who were wearing some Jedi looking robes, they were brown with hoods. So of course there were some jokes thrown around about "if I had that robe...". And after we left we decided to just walk around Bricktown.
Toby Keiths I love this Bar and Grill
So when Adam and I were in Ft. Worth he got this drink called "the three stooges" at the comedy club we went to. Well he took a picture of the ingredients and we decided it was time for a drink. (and time to go inside as I was FREEZING!) Well we went to Toby Keiths I love this Bar and Grill because we knew it was a restraunt but we figured there would be a seperate bar (as it says Bar AND Grill). But there was no place at the bar for us, so Adam went to the bathroom, that was so conveniently labeled "Whos yo daddy" as the boys restroom. (I didn't go to the womens restroom so I don't know what that one was labeled) As our bar sitting was not going to happen, we left this fine establishment and went looking for another bar.
Redpin? Bowling Alley Bar
I think its called Redpin (which is why there is a question mark). Well we went in there, found 2 seats together and got ourselves a drink. I had a LIT (ask if you don't know what that is) and Adam got his Three Stooges drink. Well at first the bartender was there, listening to what we had to say, but the longer we were there (sadly we were only there about 1 1/2 hours) the less he payed attention to us. Adam only had that one drink (which was ALL alcohol), and I had 1 1/2 LITs and a glass of water. Anyway, we were trying to "tab out" for about 30 minutes, but the bartender never came back. I finally (after getting PISSED OFF) went and retrieved him. I told Adam not to tip him. Adam aaaalllllmost gave him an 8 dollar tip, but ended up not tipping. Our service was THAT bad. (I almost NEVER don't leave a tip) Usually if the service is mediocre I leave 10 percent, but our service would have been a huge leap if it was mediocre.
Apparently Alex, Jordan and Liz were there
My brother married a lady by the name of Victoria. I call her Vicki. She had 2 previous children named Alex and Jordan(I refer to them as my niece and nephew) and her sisters name is Liz. Well I didn't find this out until the next day when Vicki called me, but Jordan saw me and yelled my name and I didn't even hear him. Poor kid. I would have gone to visit him, had I heard him beckon. Oh well, maybe after I move we can have some Aunt time.
Waiting for fireworks
We decided that we were going to walk towards the car, it was nearing midnight and it was cold, and Adam had to be at work the next day, so we needed to leave after the fire works. So when we got to this street corner I noticed it was a couple of minutes before midnight, so we just stood there and waited for the fireworks. I stuck my arms inside Adams jacket, and held on to him and he put his arm around me (my hair was in his face) and we stood like that through the fireworks. (which were fun) Then we went to the car and he drove me back to my car.
DUI checkpoint in Norman
If you read this whole post, you will remember I said I had 1 1/2 LITs (and a glass of water). Well when I saw the check point I was like "CRAP!!!". Well I rolled down my window and the officer says "This is a DUI check point, trying to make sure everyone is safe on the road, have you had anything to drink tonight?" my immediate response was "uhhh no." He thanked me and informed me that my right headlight was out. Is it against the law to lie to a cop? I hope not, cause I did. I wasn't drunk by any stretch of the imagination, I wasn't even buzzed. But I figured if I said, yeah I had a LIT earlier tonight, I would open pandoras box.
The next morning
Poor Adam, he had to get up the next morning and go to work, since we didn't have his laptop (which is what he uses for an alarm) we had set both of our phones alarms and he has an alarm that I set in his room. Well normally when the alarm goes off and I'm there, I touch him in some way, run my fingers through his hair, across his cheek or rub his back. Well this time I was so tired, that I pushed him and said "time to get up" he was probably thinking, where is that sweet girl who used to wake me up so lovingly. Well she was DEAD TIRED and wasn't ready to get up. Anyway, he ended up getting up, and came in (like he always does, and if he doesn't I think it would upset me) and kissed me goodbye. It was sweet. That was about 6am. So my "new years kiss" that was supposed to happen at midnight, happened at 6am.
Then I finally got up
I'm going to say I got up about 10:30am. And started cleaning on the apartment. I had no where to go, and no television, and the internet was not working, so what better to occupy my time, clean the house. Well I cleaned off and on, and rested off and on. It was my day off, I wasn't going to go crazy cleaning the apartment. I had gotten alot done between the time I got up and the time Adam got home. (Nothing happened after Adam got home, well no more cleaning) After he got home, we messed around the apartment for a little bit, Adam took a shower, and we went to McAlisters for dinner. We came home, Adam set up his laptop, and we went to bed and watched..... Friends I think. Yes the lesbian wedding. So it was Friends.
I stayed an extra night
I had planned to go home on New Years Day, but Adam convinced me to stay another night by promising cuddling I'm weak when it comes to cuddling, even though sometimes Adams cuddling ends in me being pinned in some over exagerated version of cuddling. (Adam is much stronger than I am.) Well I stay the night again, he gets up (I woke him up much nicer this time) and gets ready, kisses me goodbye, and goes to work, as I think, I should get up, I end up falling back asleep. My plans were to leave the apartment at 8am, Adam calls at 8:15, wakes me up and asks me if I can wait for the internet guy. I say sure, I think, depends on when he gets there. Well he got there and I leave Adams house around 11am. Three hours later than anticipated, but I left that day. :-)
So yeah, thats my story of MY latest travel.
NOW Adam has to blog about his trip to Tulsa this weekend, as he doesn't live here so its a trip. OOOOHHHHH YEAH!

Another trip to Ft. Worth.
Ok, so Adams cousin was pregnant, her due date came and went and no baby. Well Adams mom and sister went up there the Monday before thanksgiving (atleast I think thats when it was) and did all the running around with the cousin but finally they just had to induce. After some confusion and what I believe to be some tampered with records the cousin was sent to another hospital leaving baby and new daddy at the first hospital, alone.
Well, alot of stuff unravelled before I even left Tulsa. But we'll put that on the back burner for right now.
Ok, so Thankgiving comes and I spend the early part of the day with my Brother in law, my niece and my nephew (my sister was at work), and I leave there and go to my sister in laws house in Del City. And Adam went to his friend Dars house, well afterwards we met at his apartment and hes outside talking to his mom on the phone. Well he told me that we wern't going to Ft. Worth. I was going to wait to say something until he got off the phone, but I was a little peeved cause I had looked forward to this trip for a long time. Well, after some navigating on the computer we decided to go to IRVING, Tx. Yes Irving, which is apparently a neighbor of Ft. Worth. The reason we changed our reservations to a place a little farther is to be there for support for his mom and his cousin (if needed) and to be able to go do stuff on our own.
The first day (Friday) we were there we went to go see the Mustangs of Los Colinas. Los Colinas is apparently a district of Irving, Tx. And the mustangs are horses of course, running through a stream of water. Theres a whole meaning behind it and the emphasis apparently is on the water, and not the mustangs. Its about the struggle of the ..... spanish? I don't remember, you'll have to ask Adam. So yeah, that was nice. Cold but nice. I have pics I'll post later.
Then Saturday, after we finally got up, we ate breakfast in the hotel (which was amazing, the hotel, not the breakfast)and got showered, dressed and we headed out for the day. What was ahead of us? A whole day full of a baby, some confusion, some anger (thats another story), some laughter, some tears, and some major excite ment, thats right we went to the HOSPITAL!!!! We spent most of the day at the hospital, after we left we went to Adams cousins house and spent some time there, loving on that baby! (I have pictures of this too!) It's a boy! His name is Coen. And he was 7lbs and some odd ounces I think, and his feet are HUGE! Well huge for a newborn. He has a head full of beautiful blonde hair and he is the most content baby. But you take his clothes off or try to change his diaper and he let you know he wasn't happy. I marveled in watching Adam hold the baby, talk to him, stroke his hair, oh it was amazing. Adam was completely into that baby. (ssshhh dont tell Adam, but I have pictures haha). Then afterwards Adam, his mom and I all went out to eat at The Black Eyed Pea (I don't believe we have any of them in Oklahoma any more). After that we went to the comedy club we had visited a little less than a year before.
The comedy club
Ok, so we went to Hyenas again, and when Adam was reading about the headliner I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. He seemed like one of those people that insulted people in the audience for a laugh, which made me nervous, because I don't find that kind of humor very funny. Luckily, he didn't pick on the audience too much. Well we found this coupon (I love coupons) for buy 1 get one free on the tickets, heck yeah, we printed off that coupon and took it with us. We upgraded to VIP for 10 more dollars, but it was still cheaper than if we had bought 2 general admission tickets at full price. Anyway, we got there and Adam warned me that I was probably going to have to drive home. The first comic was funny (he was the emcee) talking about getting high (he had this "high" act down), and about menstrual cycles and stuff like that. Then the second guy got up and he talked about his love life most of the time, lets just say I would NEVER date a guy like that for several reasons. Then the third guy got up and he was the "rude funny" guy, who makes fun of people. So after it was over, Adam and I went back to the hotel, I drove and Adam navigated me back. We got back to the hotel and I was FREEZING! So we did a lot of cuddling that night. I was shivering, and Adam will tell you it was because I was near him. :-)
So Sunday came and we stayed in bed until we couldn't stay in bed anymore, I jumped into the shower (we didn't make the hotel breakfast this day) and Adam packed everything up. I finished packing my stuff while Adam checked out, we procrastinated so much that I was actually still in the hotel room while Adam was checking out. When I was done, I took my bag down to the car, and we headed out of town, back to Norman. I stayed the night in Norman, ran some errands the next day while Adam was at work, got pulled over and got a warning from the Moore police about speeding (oops) and then I was on my way home (back to Tulsa).
So yeah, that was our 2nd Ft. Worth trip.

A extremely condensed version of Ft.Worth
The Stockyards
After we got to Heather and Shawns house (where we stayed) we picked up the kids (Adams cousins) and the plan was to go to a place called "The Stockyards". We made it, but only after a confusing game of LETS CHECK OUT FT.WORTH! Nobody actually knew where the stockyards were. We just had a rough estimate of where they might be. But Meagan (with Adams phone) guided us there in one piece. Thanks Meagan. We ran around the stockyards (well walked in that extremely slow texas pace) and checked out all the stores and stood outside at bar at one point. I don't exactly know why we were standing outside a bar, but I do remember looking at a poster advertising a New Years eve party at this bar. Let me tell you, there is ONE bathroom in the stockyards and its at the very end of this LONG building. By the time I found the bathroom I was lucky I hadn't wet myself. Words of wisdom, use the bathroom before you go.
Edelweiss German Restraunt
After we left the Stockyards we met Heather back at home and we all went out to this German Restraunt called Edelweiss. It was pretty good. They have this cabbage stuff that tastes like barbeque sauce. They said it wasn't barbeque, but I think they're on crack, cause I think it was. And we got them to sing Happy Birthday to Adam (much to his dismay). FUN! Anyway, we left there and went to visit Shawn (I went to meet Shawn) and bought some beer and went home. WHAT A DAY!
Starbucks
For those of you who know Adam (even a little bit) know that he is crazy about Starbucks. So almost every morning and some times in between we went to starbucks. We had more starbucks that week than we did while we were in Chicago. If you ever go anywhere with Adam, expect to go to atleast 2 different starbucks'. And Adam even maps out the starbucks in the current city you're in. He's a wealth of information.
Comedy club
New Years eve we went to this comedy club. I not only forgot the name of the club, but the performer. The funny thing is that I got this green drink that glows. It tasted like crap but it GLOWS! I had to get 2. haha. It was a pina colada type drink. Hopefully I can get Adam on here for a little bit more information on this. Anyway the comic had his little brother opening for him. The main comic was doing this bit with a guitar and he was comparing songs from the 60s and 70s to the songs now. It was really interesting.
Brazilian Steak House
So we went to this brazilian steak house. Heather told us it was going to be expensive, boy was she RIGHT! We had this buffet type thing first and you had side dishes and salad stuff too. Then we sat down and when we were ready we turned over these little cards (green on one side, red on the other) from red to green. And then all these people started appearing from no where. We had these little tongs that we were supposed to grab the meat with. If your card is on green it means you want more meat, but if its on red it means no more meat. Well at one point I was being bombarded with puffy pant wearing, skewer weilding, courteous men with lots of meat. Shawn saved my life by turning my card to red. Thanks Shawn.
Movie Theater
They have the strangest most fascinating movie theater I've ever seen. They serve food, ACTUAL FOOD, at this place. And the seats were kinda like office chairs. They rolled and swivelled and leaned back, it was amazing. We went to go see I am Legend. Let me tell you what, I'm glad I saw it, I won't see it again. I'm gonna have to figure out how to get this crazy movie theater here in Tulsa. I LOVED IT!
Dallas
Dallas was a bit of a bust. We decided the day before we left to go hang out in Dallas for an evening. Well what we ended up doing is driving around downtown Dallas for several hours then heading back to Ft. Worth. We stopped at this steak house called Texas Land and Cattle. It wasn't bad. When the waitor came to greet us he gave us a "tour" of the menu. The prices were crazy, but nothing I hadn't seen before. When he asked if anything looked good, Adam said "I thinkI'm gonna finish the tour". It was funny. What a funny fellow, that Adam.
Ft.Worth Fun District
We went to this place in downtown Ft. Worth, I don't remember the name. Anyway, its a district of downtown with shops and restraunts and such. We ate at this hamburger place. It reminded me of a bar actually. I think the main part of it is a bar and the food was kind of an add on thing later in development. It was a bit like Fuddruckers except not nearly as commercialized.
Chicken Wings
So apparently Ft. Worth really enjoys their chicken wings. Heather and Shawn brought back some chicken wings. And there were all kinds of flavors. Its not just buffalo BABY! I was pretty AMAZING!!! :-) Anyway, they brought back about 8 different kinds of wings and ranch and bleu cheese dressing. And we sat and watched Breakfast Club while eating our wings.
I think there was more, but I cannot remember it. So I'll talk to Adam and have him get on here, post some pictures and give more details.

Shedd Aquarium

A lizard that was checking us all out as well.

A very nice orange starfish. (Adam started taking pictures in black and white but when he realized all the brilliant colors he decided to switch to color) Look for Adams pictures later.

Ok, Our trip to the Shedd Aquarium was simply amazing. I've been to an aquarium before but the one in Jenks isn't nearly as HUGE as this one and this one has Dolphins (next post).
By the time we got out of the Aquarium, everthing else was closed, so that night we............. I actually don't remember what we did that night.
